Nepal Women's football in Asian Games 2023 | Match fixtures, date ,time & Live details

The 2022 Asian Games is kicking off from 28th September to 8th October. The 19th edition of Hangzhou Asian Games will be featuring 40 different sports including football. The men's football competition in the Asian games will be featuring the U23 age group teams from different nations. Meanwhile women football will have the senior teams.

Women's football at Asian Games 2023

The 2023 women's football at Asian Games is kicking off from 21st of September. A total of 16 nations will be participating in the competition. 

Nepal is placed in Group D, alongside two strong contenders, Japan and Vietnam, both recently participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Adding to the challenge, the group also includes the South Asian Champion, Bangladesh. This marks the first time that Nepal will face the gold medal contender and former World Cup winner, Japan, in an international match.

The Nepali team has been training for the past one and a half months for the 19th ASIAD. The team is preparing under the guidance of one of Nepal’s most successful coache, Balgopal Maharjan. Maharjan is being assisted by Nepal Sports Council (NSC) Chief Coach, Aruna Gurung, and Goalkeeper Coach, Shri Prakash Baidya.
