Nepalese team DRS gaming became runner up in Pubg Mobile World Cup 2023 bagging almost NRS.3 crores

The Nepali team DRS gaming became the first runner up in the PUBG Mobile World Championship 2023. DRS who were trailing in the second place until the last match just by 7 points was defeated by Turkey's ST2G in the competition held in Indonesia. They could have win the title but got eliminated at #14.

In the final stage match, ST2G scored 190 points while Nepali team DRS scored only 158 points. The runner-up DRS received a prize of almost 2 thousand US dollars i.e. NRs.2.63 crores. The other team named T2K from Nepal that reached the final came in 13th place has received an award of 1 lakh 32 thousand 500 US dollars.


It was a three days LAN event organized in Indonesia where 16 teams played a total of 18 matches’ i.e. 6 matches per day. DRS were the first team to win the with 2 chicken dinner. 
 DRS finishing on 2nd had 88 rank points with 70 kill points with 2 chicken dinners. Meanwhile Alpha7 from Brazil became third. 3 out of  the Top 5 teams were all from South Asia which is also a historic moment for this region.

This is the highest achievement by any Nepalese sports team has ever achieved in global competition writes the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balen Shah on his facebook wall congratulating the team. Balen is with his wife in an office break for Indonesia where they both are supposed to attend the grand finale.
