One the the prestigious gold cups in Nepal Bagmati gold cup's 5th edition has kicked off from the 25th of Poush 2079 in Phaparbari, Makawanpur. A total of 10 clubs including 7 A division clubs, 2 local teams & a foreign team have been participated in the tournament.

Departmental side Tribhuvan Army Club is facing another A Division League club Himalayan Sherpa Club in the 3rd match as a pre quarterfinals.  The match will be played at Phaparbari from 2 PM Nepali Standard Time.

Prize Money:

The winner will get Rs 8 lakhs and the runner-up will get Rs 4 lakhs. Each players from individual category will get 5 thousands cash prize. Also a sports journalist with exemplary work in the field of sports will also be honored with cash of 15,000.

Previous Edition:

4th Bagmati Gold Cup was lifted by Three Star Club defeating African Roots Association in a high scoring game by 4-3. This time both these teams haven't participated in the competition.
