A knockout football tournament to be held on the auspicious occasion of 71st birthday anniversary of former prime minister & CPN UML chairman Khadga Prasad Oli on the next month of Fagun.

Call for participations

The organizer of the competition, "Yuwa Sangh Nepal" has requested the every interested A-Division Clubs to register their team until Magh 17 for the participation.

Recognition from the ANFA 

The All Nepal Football Association ANFA has listed the KP Oli Cup 2023 as one of the domestic football competitions marking a date of Falgun 11-17 ahead of Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2079/80.

KP Oli Cup 2023

"KP Oli Cup 2023" is a knockout football tournament going to be organized on the auspicious 71st birthday of the former prime minister & CPN UML chairman hon.KP Sharma Oli.

Main motive of the competition:

The main objective of the KP Oli Cup is to contribute to the commercial promotion of Nepali football and through this to inspire ordinary citizens, associations and political parties, said Kiran Paudel, the chairman of the organizing National Youth Association.

Dates & venues:

The 6 days long tournament will kick off from 11th of Falgun next month. Matches will be played across different football grounds in Kathmandu including Chyasal Stadium, Dasharath Stadium, ANFA complex & even APF ground, Hallchowk.

Here are the exciting prize money & rewards;

• Winner: NRs.10 Lakhs
• Runners Up: NRs.5 lakhs
• Match Winner team: NRs.25 thousands
• Man of the match: NRs.15 thousands
• Best player of the tournament: NRs.1 Lakhs
• Best goalkeeper: NRs.50 thousands
• Highest goal scorer: NRs.50 thousands
• Emerging Player: NRs. 50 thousands

A positive start in Nepalese football:

In the contrary of no footballing activities, it's a better opportunity for the players & even the clubs to have such competition ahead of the top tier Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2079/80. Since ANFA doesn't seem responsible in the organization of such big football events, even the political parties are initiating for the footballing events.

Competition to continue for upcoming years:

Organizers Yuwa Sangh Nepal has said that this is the first edition of KP Oli Cup which will be conducted every years afterwards in the birthday anniversary of CPN UML leader KP Sharma Oli.

Born on 10th of Falgun, former Prime Minister and UML President KP Oli has his personal interest in football. Oli is seen to spend 90 minutes at the Dasarath stadium to watch international matches played by Nepal.
