Kiran was signed by Round Glass Punjab on a free transfer for the 2022/23 season from Maziya Sports & Recreation Centre. In professional football, a free transfer, involves a football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. It has been a long story between Kiran & Punjab playing together since 2017/18. It was the very season when the Minvera Punjab FC(then) won their only I-League title with Nepalese goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong. Kiran's team Round Glass Punjab are at the top of the table & if they finish as the league winner, Kiran could be the second Nepalese player after defender Ananta Tamang (East Bengal SC) to play HERO ISL.
But there's an assumption that Round Glass may not extend the Kiran's contract since any of the ISL teams haven't played foreign goalkeepers since last 5-6 years.
