2024 WAFF Women's Championship | Nepal football Match schedules, fixtures & live streaming details


The Nepali National Women's Football Team is going to participate in the upcoming 2024 WAFF Women's Championship. The meeting of ANFA emergency committee held on the last week of January decided that the team Nepal will participate in the competition.

Nepal is going to participate as an invited team in the 8th edition of the most awaited WAFF Women's Championship 2024, which is organized every two years by the West Asian Football Federation. Along with Nepal, Guam had already confirmed to participate in the tournament as an invited team. Nepal is a member of SAFF while Guam is a member of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF).

Along with this, in this year's competition, a total of 8 teams will participate in this year's competition, including 2 invited countries, 6 countries of WAFF, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Syria. Let us remind you here that among these 8 participating countries, Nepal is the third best team in FIFA rankings. Above Nepal, Jordan is in 74th place and Guam is in 93rd place while Nepal is on the 105th position.

Group Divisions: 2024 WAFF Women's Championship 2024

The eight teams participating in the WAFF Women's Championship 2024, which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from February 19 to 29, will be divided into two groups of four each. The top two teams of the group will directly qualify for the semi-finals.

The hosts Saudi Arabia, under by former Barcelona coach Lluis Cortes, are placed in a competitive group A alongside Guam, Lebanon, and Jordan. Palestine, Nepal, Syria, and Iraq are in Group B, where they will compete for the two qualifying spots.

Match Fixtures & venues

A total of 15 matches in the competition will be played in a central venue at the King Abdullah Sports Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 19th-29th February. Nepal will kickoff the championship race on 19th of February facing against the 160th ranked Syria.
