The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games, the pinnacle of global sports, is set to kick off next Friday in Paris, France. This year's event will see 10,700 athletes from 206 countries competing. Participants will showcase their skills across 329 events spanning 32 sports disciplines. Notably, Nepal will be represented by seven athletes, aiming to make their mark on the world stage.

Santoo Shrestha clinched his spot in the Olympic tournament by triumphing in the South Asian table tennis selection. The other six athletes secured their Olympic berths through quota allocations based on their performances.
